Take a Trip to the Staheli Family Farm

The Staheli Family Farm is a 350 acre family farm that is situated in Washington, Utah. The property was established in the year 1889 by Frank Staheli Sr. who hailed from Switzerland and was a vegetable farmer.

Frank is also said to be one of the first mayors in the city of Washington, Utah. And aside from being a Mayor, he is also an agricultural pioneer who is known to have built the first ever rock irrigation ditches in the state of Utah.

Right now, the farm hosts group parties and other events. Visitors can also indulge on some adventures and explore some attractions within the farm, such as the Corn Maze, Field of Screams, Live Nativity, as well as the Farm Camp.

History of the Farm

Everything that you will see in the farm now is a result of the hard work and dedication of Frank Staheli Sr. As mentioned, Frank was responsible for the first ever primary irrigation system in Utah and such is still being used in the farm today.

Over the years, the farm was used for various agricultural experiments, including a university extension program. The farm has certainly played an important role in the agricultural history of St. George and Washington, Utah. The farm has primarily produced alfalfa, sugar beets, as well as beef.

Furthermore, the farm hosts an average of 30,000 corn maze visitors yearly, and that’s in the month of October alone. Visitors to the farm will certainly be treated to the scenic views and rich history of the Staheli Family Farm.

Group Parties

The family farm is also known to host several group parties and other important events, such as weddings, birthday parties, field trips and more. Whether you are a church, an organization, or any group that comprises of more than 15 people, you can choose the family farm as your venue for your upcoming event or activity.

Groups can also qualify for the group discount of $6 per head for the Corn Maze admission. To book your reservation, simply go online, check out their website and fill out the reservation form there. Make sure to include the date of your visit.

How to Get There

The family farm is located at 3400 Washington Fields Road, Washington, Utah. If you are coming from Salt Lake, Utah, take the Exit 10 towards the Washington City. Then, turn left to the South Green Springs Drive and take the first left towards the West State Street or the West Telegraph Street. Then turn right to the S 300 East and continue driving towards South Washington Fields Road. Then, you will see the farm on the left side.

To make a reservation, simply visit their website. Click on the “More” section and choose “Contact us”.  You will then be asked to fill out a reservation form.
