All about the St. George, Utah Senior Center

St. George in Utah is a great place. With lots of wonderful places to visit, people will surely be able to savor the beauty of the place. People from all ages, but particularly senior citizens, will certainly find St. George, Utah a great place to be. With all the views and the activities that everyone can enjoy, the place is surely a haven both for youngsters and people that are young at heart.

There are lots of goings-on that people will enjoy at the place. Tourist attractions are plenty and there are so many facilities that provide services that fulfill the needs of the tourists and the residents.

The St. George, Utah Senior Center

What makes St. George a great place for older people is the senior center that caters to the needs of elderly people. This new addition to the senior centers that accommodate elderly people’s needs and preferences is the best in the place. There are also new services that let elderly people enjoy their lives better and have fun with the things that they can do.

  • Computer Instruction

The St. George, Utah Senior Center provides a one-on-one computer learning course for elderly people so that they can use the Internet for recreational and educational purposes. The members of the center are taught how to surf the Internet and send and read emails so that they can enjoy the features on the Internet even at their age.

The course also enables elderly people to know about the features and application of a computer so that they can do more things in it. This skill building course is great for elderly people who want to know more about the latest technology of today. This also enables elderly people to familiarize themselves to the things that they can use to connect and interact with their family and friends.

  • Knitting and Crocheting Class

There are also classes for knitting and crocheting. Elderly people who want to do handicrafts through knitting and crocheting can enroll in the St. George, Utah Senior Center so that they can learn the basic and advanced techniques on knitting and crocheting.

  • Driver Safety Course

Aside from the handicraft and computer skill classes, there is also a driver safety course for elderly people who still want to drive on their own. The courses are comprehensive and have the required prerequisites before they accept elderly students so that the safety of the course apprentices is never jeopardized.

  • Member Online Account

Members of the center can visit the center’s website and be able to log in to their account to know what’s the latest news and happenings on the St. George, Utah Senior Center. Members can check their accounts and do a lot of things on the website that will help them understand the programs more. They will also be able to get updates from the center by having an account and registering on the newsletter. This is helpful in staying updated with the latest news, happenings and courses that the center is offering to its elderly members.

Not only are the classes great, but it’s a good place to make friends. Especially if you’re new in town!
