Cedar City PRCA Championship Rodeo

If it’s horses, barrel riding, and bareback that you’re into, then head north just a few minutes to Cedar City, where they’ve got professional rodeo-ing going on with some of the best riders in the country.

Cedar City really does a good job with this rodeo, always finding great riders and great entertainment from the rodeo clowns, and side shows. But really what you’re paying for is to see some of the most talented riders and racers around.

You’ll see some crazy bulls throwin their weight around, with some of the bravest cowboys you’ll ever see holding on for dear-life. The rodeos a good one to take the whole family to as well.

The cost of admission is $10 and you can find it at the Diamond Z Arena on Cross Hollows Drive. The rodeo is on Friday June 12th and Saturday June 13th.

Art on Main

Downtown St George has an Art on Main even going on that showcases some of the best original art around. There will be artists from all over the country exhibiting their art along main street in St George. Which is just a fun way to spend a evening, strolling along beautiful main street taking in some art. And then certainly stopping by 25 Main to get a cupcake or two as well.

Admission is free and they even have a punch card that you can use to enter into a drawing to win some free original art. The event is on Friday June 12th from 6:00 –  9:00 pm. So if you like art and beautiful downtown St George, then this even is sure to delight.

Let Freedom Ring Heritage Choir Concert

There’s a local choir that’s quite popular called the Heritage Choir. They are doing a freedom themed concert titled “Let Freedom Ring” on Saturday, 7 p.m. at the St. George Tabernacle. This is a yearly concert they do on Flag Day and it’s one that just wets you appetite for the summer months and the 4th of July festivities that are coming up.

That’s it, those are just 3 things that are going on this weekend in southern Utah, so get out there and soak in the sun while seeing some great things.
