Huntsman World Senior Games
St. George, Utah
October 8 – 20, 2012

World peace, health, and friendship.  Yes, that’s the mission of the Huntsman World Senior Games.  And, this year it will be over 25 years worth.

There are various sports for those aged 50 and older and yes, the basketball is still very competitive.  You should go watch them.  My favorite is pickle ball but here is a list of the many sports in the games:

Archery
Badminton
Basketball
Bowling
Bridge
Cowboy Action Shoot (huh? Yeah, I don’t know either)
Cycling
Golf
Horseshoes
Lawnbowls
Mountain Biking
Pickleball
Racewalking
Racquetball
Road Races
Shooting
Soccer
Softball
Square Dance
Swimming
Table Tennis
Tennis
Track & Field
Triathlon
Volleyball

The senior games is a community wide event.  The locations of the sports are held all around St. George including:  Green Valley Resort, Bloomington CC, and The SunRiver Retirement Community.

Yes, there are even 90 year old sprinters.  Watch this video to check them out.  Pay attention or you just might miss them – they are that fast.

A group of seniors in a hotel is not fun.  See the link to the right to book the best place to stay for the senior games. Your entire group can stay in a condo or 2 and be very comfortable.
